Hello NCA Bears! You made it to the week before Spring Break!! I'll pause for cheers. Though we are a virtual school, you get to enjoy Spring Break too! Please note the following, Spring Break is from April 3rd-April 10th. Students should be ready to return on Tuesday, April 11th. If you plan on using Spring Break to catch up, that's definitely a wise move and one we recommend if you are behind. Pearson Online Classroom is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week so you'll have access to all of your courses. Please keep in mind, though, that your teachers will not be available. They deserve time off, just like you! This means that calls, webmails and assignments will not be reviewed until Tuesday, April 11th. Along with this, I wanted to share that when you return, your account MAY be in alarm/approaching alarm. Our escalation system does not recognize our breaks and continues to track whether students are on track. Do not be "alarmed" by this. We will work to remedy the issue at the conclusion of Spring Break. Attendance - Be sure to get your attendance submitted for the week by filling out the form below. Welcome to Day 1 of Quarter 4! In a little over 2 months you will have completed another school year. How exciting is that?! Before we get ahead of ourselves though, we need to remember that there is still plenty of work to be done. Now is the time to buckle down and focus. I urge you not to wait until the last minute to get your assignments completed. Your stress levels will thank you. As you work through the last couple months of school, keep the following in mind: -Get Organized & Plan Ahead - Using your planner, you can identify the last day you will have an assignment assigned. If you are on track or ahead in your courses, will have no problem finishing by the last day of school (May 17th). If you are behind, you will need to double up on some of your lessons to ensure you finish everything on time. Organize a plan to get it done! -Be Consistent - Wake up at the same time every day and go to bed at the same time every night as much as you can. This will help you reach your daily and weekly goals. -Communicate - Don't wait until the last minute to reach out to your teachers or any of our NCA staff members for help. We can’t help you if we don’t know that you need help. If you do those three things, I guarantee that you will end the school on a positive, successful note. Attendance - Be sure to get your attendance submitted for the week by filling out the form below. To ensure you are getting credit for the week, please make sure you are selecting the correct homeroom teacher. The name of your homeroom teacher can be found on your homepage. Dropping/Skipping of Assignments - Your teachers have worked hard to make modifications and adjustments to their courses to ensure that all assignments align with state standards. At this point, all adjustments have been made. Further dropping/skipping of assignments will not be taking place. It is also expected that all assignments remaining will be completed before the end of the semester on May 17th. Please plan accordingly to ensure that you complete everything on time.
