CHRISTINE DZARNOSKI - PRINCIPAL
Welcome to the 2023-2024 School Year! I am thrilled to be Principal this year and know that it will be a
fantastic school year full of hard work and growth.
NCA has been my second home for the last 9 years and I couldn’t be more proud of where we are today.
I began my journey at NCA teaching 5th grade and ventured into administration soon after. This is now my 5th
year as administrator and I truly love each day. I am energized and deeply committed to making a positive
difference in the lives of our NCA students. We will accomplish this by working together as a team, setting high academic expectations for all students and providing supportive systems to ensure they are met.
By focusing on a positive school culture, setting high standards for teacher performance, increased academic expectations for all students and engaging the community, it is our goal that all students are on track to be
college and career ready by the end of their high school career.
Please know that we have an open door policy, and welcome all opportunities to speak with you. We are looking forward to our collaboration in providing a safe and nurturing environment as well as a challenging and diverse curriculum. Wishing you all a successful school year!

DR. CHRIS MCBRIDE - SUPERINTENDENT
Dr. Chris McBride is honored to serve as the superintendent at Nevada Connections Academy working as part of a team that has increased the graduation rate and college/career readiness significantly.
Directly before coming to NCA Dr. McBride served as the executive director of an elementary charter school in Reno, NV. He was a fellow at the National Institute for Latino School Leaders, an UnidosUS program designed to bridge the gap between educators and policy makers. Dr. McBride has also worked in education as an assistant principal, dean, regular education teacher, and special education teacher at the middle and elementary school levels. Chris has a B.A. in Psychology from Wabash College, a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of North Carolina Greensboro, and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Nevada.
